Question I still can't open databases!

UR 1.2a bug fixed:
Info Databases with Unicode characters in the filename or path (or with Unicode characters in the user's TEMP path) couldn't be opened by Ultra Recall.

But I tried UR 1.2a, this problem exists yet. Is there any other way to solve this problem? I like UR so much.......

We did confirm that a problem with Ultra Recall 1.2 and prior did indeed exist with Unicode characters in the path, and the changes made in 1.2a were tested with paths containing Chinese characters (unicode) on Windows XP (English version).

What operating system are you using? What is the exact error message or behaviour you are seeing with version 1.2a regarding this issue? Also, please provide the information available from Help -> About -> Install Info...

Please try downloading and installing http://www.kinook.com/Download/UR12aUnicode.exe and see if it resolves the problem. Thanks.

Thumbs up

It seems to work well! Also, I have tested in WinXP Japanese, everything was fine.

Thumbs up Yes, it fully works.

Finally, I can use UR as I wish. Fully unicode filename/path supports, typing Chinese characters in RTF editor, storing attachments, it's nice. And always thanks a lot about UR's supports.

Is UR1.2aUnicode a formal release? I will reg a license soon.

BTW, I'm not sure if this could be done:
full text search, node text search, attachment search, etc.

The main download has been updated with the Unicode fix (and is the same as the UR12aUnicode download).

Regarding search for Chinese words, see http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?threadid=878

Regarding full text search, see http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?threadid=897
