Allow paste [Move] into Search Results
FEATURE REQUEST:
Allow user to Copy Item(s) and then do a Query and paste (move) into one of the Query results items. USE CASE One of UR's great strengths is that I can create a To Do task in my GTD inbox and then later assign it to a project. But when there are a LOT of projects the click and drag approach becomes cumbersome When I get UR fully loaded I'll have this scenario: I'll probably have 200+ projects. I'm going through my Inbox and moving tasks to their appropriate projects. I'll probably select multiple tasks that all go in one project. I want to move them all. It's very difficult to find the project I want to paste them into. If I do a Search then I lose my selection of Tasks in the Data Explorer window. If I use the Move/Link option it doesn't let me search for projects. What I've tried: - Link/Move - doesn't let me search to find the one project out of 200+ -Cut/Paste - After I do a search the past option is grayed out. It would be great if I could : -Cut item(s) -Click on my 'All Projects' search and possibly do a keyword search for a particular project -Right-click on the Project in question in the Results window. -Paste |

Thanks! You saved me a step
I didn't realize that when you double-click or hit enter on the search result that the Item is selected. (I previously was then scanning for the bolded (selected) project and then right-click and paste.
It's still a lot of steps, but less now. |

Kinook Software Forums - "Search for folder as I type and F3 to search for Next Match Under Tools, Options, Import, I have ticked Select location when importing or pasting from other applications. Thus when I have clicked Copy to Ultra Recall, a dialog box would appear allowing me to select the appropriate folder. Selecting a folder would be a cinch if I had say 5 folders, but after a while, I may have 100+ folders. " http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthre...&threadid=3773 |
