Linking to UR when in MacOS & using Parallels

I use a Mac-Mini as my main computer and run Windows Xp under Parallels. I tend to use the internet browser (either Firefox or Safari) in the Mac window and then get stuck when i see something I want to insert into UR and, unlike Firefox in XP, I cannot do so. Is it possible to develop an application for Firefox under MAC so that i can then link it to UR under XP.
I am pretty sure I know the answer, but just wanted to check.
I suppose I can cut and paste, but that does not work nearly as effectively as a direct insert.

Thanks

Don

You might be able to create a browser extension or command that invokes UR in the guest machine (VMware Workstation provides a way to do that).

Copy/paste of the URL between the host/guest machine should also work with most VM software.

Thanks. I will take a look at that, but I'm not much of a programmer.
I have tried copy/paste. It works OK with text but misses the graphics.

In fact, even if I import a pdf file into UR, the text comes but not the graphics. Am I missing a configuration switch or something?

If you copy the URL, UR should be able to capture images when storing a web page (if you copy the page selection, the browser may include text but not HTML format on the clipboard for pasting).

Only the text of PDF files is displayed in UR by default. To use a PDF viewer (Acrobat, Foxit, etc.) to display a formatted PDF in UR, see here (you would also need to import the PDF file URL rather than copy/paste content from the PDF file itself):

That works perfectly. Simple, easy to copy from one OS to the other, and all is captured.

UR is a really good product, and the support is exemplary.

Many thanks
