Remote Build Execution Error: No process at the other end of the pipe.

Hey there!

I am having trouble using your remote build execution functionality. When I go to run a remote build script, I get the following log output:

PsExec v1.98 - Execute processes remotely
Copyright (C) 2001-2010 Mark Russinovich
Sysinternals - www.sysinternals.com

No process is on the other end of the pipe.
Connecting to Mim...Starting PsExec service on Mim...Connecting with PsExec service on Mim...Starting C:\Program Files\VisBuildPro6\VisBuildPro.exe on Mim...
PsExec could not start C:\Program Files\VisBuildPro6\VisBuildPro.exe on Mim:

It seems this problem only happens after a machine has been remote desktop'd to, and works fine directly after a reboot, with no intermittent remote desktop. Also I have done some googling and found this is be a relevent problem with PSexec. I was wondering if there was a workaround? Anyone have this problem?

Any help appreciated.

Logan

We haven't seen or heard of that before, but it does sound like an issue with PsExec. One search result for the error suggests deleting the psexecsvc.exe on the remote system in case there is a version mismatch. You might try posting details on the SysInternals PsTools forum to see if they can shed any light on it.
