Found items should be highlighted in Data Explorer
Maybe ther's some other vehicle that accomplishes this purpose, but I don't see it. When items are found, their parents and children and shown, but the position of the found items isn't shown in the data explorer. The usef must click on the parents to find the position of the found item.

Just one more thought on this. In general I'm surprised by the instances of lack of integration between the Data Explorer and the other panels, to the degree that I think I may be missing the rationale. Clicking on something in the child, found, or parent panes does not cause those items to get selected in the Data Explorer, whereas I think the user is primed to expect this and the information regarding the general context may be useful.

Initially I thought this was a little strange, too. But now I actually prefer how it works over an automatic sync with the tree.
Your place in the data explorer can be retained while you quickly locate and work with items in the search results. If you need to sync the explorer with the found item, you just hit enter. |
