Why is inserted table invisible?

Hi,

I'm trying to create a table with the following specs?

Columns 3
Rows 5
Column Width 1500
Cell Padding 100
Border Width 20


, but after inserting, the table is invisble.

I can't find a menu item for editing any of the table properties. So if the border colors are white for some reason, there doesn't seem to be anyway of changing them to black. So I don't actually know, whether this is a border problem, or something else.
