insert document

For the life of me, I can't figure out what insert>child>document does. In the tree I get a new item and can type in a name. I get a blinking cursor in the center of the top of the item itself, but I can't type anything or drag and drop anything. I gotta be missing something really fundamental.

Typically this template is used with drag & drop, copy & paste, or with the Import Wizard to link or store an external document, Outlook object (email, contact, etc), web page or other external "object".

If you manually create an Item based on this template (as you describe), you could enter a value in the Url attribute to link the document Info Item to an external file or Outlook object. You could then sync the Info Item to sync the item to the object referenced with the Url

Thanks. A bit more obscure than I thought it would be.
