Read Only issue/question

I created a password protected URD.

Checking File/Properties indicated files was not in 'Read Only' state.

I imported/stored this file as an item in another URD as a template item.

Creating a new item using this template item, creates an item.

Focusing on this item offers a link to a stored file in the details pane.

Clicking on the stored link calls the password protected file, requests password & opens.

However, this file is converted to a 'Read Only'

Why? Is this appropriate URD behavior?

Make sure that .urd is included at 'Tools | Options | Documents | File extensions to open stored documents writeable', then restart UR.
