multiple templates in one folder?

Thanks, that was helpful and answered a few questions I had not posted yet.

I have a folder (Articles) that will have mainly 4 types of info:
embedded URL (which is best template?)
stored info from net (Text & graphics, probably Text template)
Plain text (text template)
linked PDF (document template) - can PDF be imbedded? If so, how?

It sounds like I need to make at least 2 custom templates, one based on Document and one on Text. Since I already have one based on Document and I have inserted over 3 dozen custom attributes, is there any way to make a copy of that one and change it? Or somehow import those attributes from the Article template?
