Item notes suggestions

It would make item notes more useful if:
1. When item notes was opened, the data item field got smaller. This would allow taking notes at the same time as reading the data item. As it is, one has to go back and forth between them, and this is a nuisance.

2. Would it be possible to put item notes at the BOTTOM of the data item window, much the way that child items is already. This would allow easier reading of the data item field and taking of notes at the same time.

3. As mentioned previously, it would be REALLY nice if the item notes attribute changed in some way (color, icon, ?) whenever there was information in the item notes window.
