Global macros inquiry

Are there any known issues with Global Macro values propogating from 1 BLD to another BLD file? I am seeing issues with values not transferring to a 2ndary BLD that got launched within the 1st, and wondered if it had to do with how the global may have been populated with project or temp macro values in part, etc...
