Pasting images

First - I'm new to UR, ---- and hope for patience and understanding.
I'm trying to form a database of scanned images of statement, bills, invoices etc.
I have folders & sub-folders for various areas / items etc.

when i paste the jpg image into a text or folder file it looks like it happens (swirling working icon) but at the end there is not image. Is there a way to past scanned .jpg
images into UR.
