Syncing/importing created date or modified date with Outlook notes

Hi Kinook,

Any chance I could convince you to revisit this issue, if it's not too much trouble? You addressed Outlook item created date/modified date sync in a previous thread (http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=3727). However, in that thread you mention the created date being relatively inaccessible in Outlook 2003. In Outlook 2013, notes' created date and modified date are readily accessible columns in the list view column picker. My hope is that they are now also reasonably accessible in the object model, as well.

I have a killer workflow I'm trying to implement. I'm an IT consultant and have to track time. If I can get created date or modified date to sync, then I can use my iPhone's Siri to create speech-to-text notes merely by holding my phone to my ear. These notes will sync with Exchange, making them available for one-click import from Outlook to UR.

In conjunction with the chronological sorting feature you helped me with (http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=5323), this means I can simply talk into my phone throughout the day, then import these items into UR and convert to a template using a custom title expression prepending create or modified date.

In this way I can log notes and events with absolute minimal effort (making it more likely that I'll catch everything), without ever having to even write anything down or mess with date picker controls. These speech-to-text notes will, in turn, integrate into a comprehensive UR-based activity logging system which includes email, calendar events etc.--all of which sort automatically by date, both as child items and search results. That is a freakin' AWESOME workflow.

Maybe have it controlled by the "UseImportedFileTimeStamp" registry key?

As mentioned above, I'm hoping that the availability of these values in Outlook itself means Microsoft has done a better job of making them programmatically accessible, so this request isn't nearly as much trouble as it would have been in the past.

In any case, thanks as always for the great product, and for being so responsive. If it's still not feasible/practical given the Outlook object model, feel free to let me know and I'll understand completely, of course.

Cheers!
Aaron
