Question Configuration Help (what did I do?!?)

Hi All,

I did something to my configuration and I really need to undo it. Unfortunately, the configuration system and I don't understand each other. That is, I don't know what I did to cause the new behavior so I can't undo it. I'm hoping the User Community can help!!!

I used to be able to drag files into parent items and they would show up as the proper file (Excel, PP, Word, Outlook) with the proper icon and be a child of the item I dragged it to. Now when I drag files into items, a new "default child item" is created. Then when I open up that new item to see the dragged file, the dragged file is not a child, it's pasted into the new "default child item."

Please help!

Thanks,

Marty

First, try it in a new database (File | New) to see if it has to do with your database. If the problem occurs even in a new database, uninstall UR (choosing Yes to remove user customizations), then reinstall to get back to the factory defaults. If it only occurs in your database, try repairing (Tools | Compact & Repair with Repair checked), and if that doesn't help, send the details requested at http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthre...?threadid=3038 (be as detailed as possible because I'm not quite following exactly what you're trying to do). Thanks.

I would also take a look at your Template folder. See if the template has an unexpected child.
