inheriting an attribute from Parent - how to do that?

Hi,

i would like to add an attribute to task template, which represents a weight factor.

Is it possible, to populate this attibute from an attribute stored with it's parent Project? Using this mechanism i could store the weight factors within the project items, and all child task items would take that weight factor automatically.

If possible, how can this be done?

Regards
csandman

UR doesn't have the ability to automatically populate an item attribute value from a parent item attribute.

But this certainly would be very useful. This is similar to setting attribute values based on other attributes of the same item (here based on the parents attributes), discussed here

Please, consider adding this kind of "rules" or "automation". Thank you!
