Outlook/UR Appointment Sync Issue
Except Begin/End Date/Time, all fields can be synchronized in both directions instantly by pressing Ctrl+F5.
Why do Begin/End Date/Time fields fail to synchronize in the current UR Appointment item? UR 3.5d OL2007 Please help. Thanks. Armstrong |

To be specific, when editing dates/times in Outlook, the changes can be synchronized back to corresponding info items in UR.
Reversely, changing dates/times in UR, pressing Ctrl+F5 will overwrite the changes in the UR info item by the Outlook item. Is this a bug? Is it the way supposed to be? Armstrong |

For example, If I change Begin Date, Begin Time, End Date, and End Time, these attributes will be overwritten by the corresponding Outlook appointments when pressing Ctrl+F5.
Why? |

In accordance with the manual http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Ma...ynchronize.htm, it states: The "newest" or "current" object in the pair is used to update the other.
In my case, it's the "oldest" is used to update the "newest." Please help. Thanks. Last edited by armsys; 01-03-2009 at 06:27 AM. |

Syncing UR changes of those attributes back into Outlook is not currently supported.

If an Appointment Info Item is created in UR, the whole synchronization is predictably weird.
1. Create an Appointment Info Item in the Folder with URL attribute defined as "Outlook://Personal Folders/Calendar." Say, Set the Begin/End Dates to today Jan 6. 2. Pressing Ctrl+F5, it creates a matched Appointment in Outlook, but with date Jan 13 while the Begin/End Times are the same with the matched pair. Question: Why is Jan 13? Yes, the originally empty URL is now automatically filled with a full Outlook GUID. That's amazing. 3. Changing Begin/End Dates in UR won't be synchronized to Outlook by press Ctrl+F5. 4. Changing Begin/End Dates in Outlook will be instantly synchronized to UR by press Ctrl+F5. 5. Pressing Ctrl+Del in UR won't delete the matched Appointment in Outlook. 1/6/2009 Tue 6:32:08 AM HKT Paragraph 5 above is incorrect. Pressing Shift+Del can delete the matched Appointment(s) in Outlook. Last edited by armsys; 01-05-2009 at 05:35 PM. |
