UR 4.1b does not keep/accept registration info
Yesterday I downloaded UR 4.1b and installed on top of the previous version (4.1a). UR lost the registration info, and copying and pasting it in Help | Register... was not accepted ("The name and/or key entered is not valid!)"
(Lenovo Thinkpad T61, WinXP SP3) If this is not a general bug introduced in the latest version, I can send more system info. Others noticed this? |

The licensing did not change between 4.1a and 4.1b.
Make sure that Help | About | Install Info shows Ultra Recall Professional 4.x If it shows 'Ultra Recall 4.x', you will need to uninstall, then download and install the Professional edition from http://www.kinook.com/Download/UltraRecallProEval.exe. Then, make sure to copy and paste all the lines between the 'Copy lines below/above' lines from the license info email (not just the license key) into the Register dialog. If that doesn't help, please ZIP and send to support@kinook.com: 1) The info from Help | About | Install Info 2) A screen shot of the Register dialog after pasting the license info. Thanks. |

Mea culpa! You are right (and I hope you will always be :-) and I am wrong. My only excuse is that I am currently in Haiti, and amidst all the trouble I downloaded the standard edition instead of the professional. I apologize for wasting your time.

Don't feel too bad. I did exactly the same thing a couple of months ago and Kinook kindly showed me the error of my ways.

the same happened to myself once as well.
I think, somehow, the software should tell you that you are installing new program (standard version) instead of reinstalling the existing (pro version). It would be then clear that one downloaded the wrong version ... |
