microsoft pushed update; office docs now open externally

Overnight, Microsoft pushed an update. Usually this doesn't cause annoyances and supposedly keeps my computer in better shape. (Sidebar: does it really?)

As a result of the update, Office docs (docx, xlsx, etc.) now open externally instead of inside the Detail pain.

I'm guessing this is a setting being "restored" to some value that URP requires to be set otherwise.

Any ideas?
