Virtual PC Questions

If I wanted to use a Virtual PC in an automated build, would that even be possible? I have a Windows 2003 Server VPC set up that I would like to start up, run a program on, and then shut down. However, Visual Build seems to just wait until the machine is shut down before moving on to the next step (which was running the program from the remote (virtual) computer).

If I could get it to log in automatically, I could possibly just put the program in the Startup menu and then have the program shut down the PC after it's done, but since I can't log in or anything automatically, the point is moot.

So is the Virtual PC just not useful in an automated build process (because it waits until it shuts down to continue) or perhaps only for operating systems that don't have a necessary log-on first?

1. Configure the VM to logon to Windows automatically:

2. Configure a command script or batch file to run at startup which
a) Runs your program
b) shuts down Windows:
