Using Lineage in search
Does it have any effect? I was thinking it could be used to reduce the scope of a search but it would appear that it is ignored.

It seems to be working. See the image -- with Lineage matches wildcard *notes* in the search, it shows only the instance under Notes. If that is removed from the search, it shows both instances (under Notes and Tasks).

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Hmmm. I have run a search (same rules) from 2 different places. Using normal Search icon and implementing a Search item in the MyData tree (which is ideally where I would like it). |

For proper precedence (treating the last two terms as being in parenthesis), you need to indent the 2nd and 3rd search terms (select the row and choose Tree | Move Right or Ctrl+Shift+Right arrow).
