Visual Build and Sourcesafe Get Fails
I am currently having problem - getting files from sourcesafe. Here is my Sourcesafe folder structure
$/abcd (applied label "test12" recursively to this folder) $/abcd/a.bcd (this subfolder has a period in its name and has 4 files) $/abcd/a.bcd/test $/abcd/a.bcd/test123 When I try to get the files with label "test12" recursively from the folder $/abcd/a.bcd, I get all the subfolders and subfolder files correclty, but while trying to get files from the folder $/abcd/a.bcd, the build fails with exit code 100 (Version not found) Note that I can do gets from the folder $/abcd/a.bcd (recursive checkbox NOT checked), then it works fine. Is this related to the folder name with period? Any idea or sugesstions to this issue is really appreciated. Regards Mamatha |

I seem to recall that VSS does have some issues when dealing with folder names containing dots. If you check the 'Show command-line...' checkbox on the Options tab of the SourceSafe action and build the step again, you can use the log output in a support incident with Microsoft to determine if it's a bug or what the problem is. Also make sure you're running the latest VSS SP.
