Pasting into text note sometimes causes crashes

I find that text notes happily allow images to be inserted, but that when pasting sometimes UR will crash. This has been happening after I have been pasting following a capture of a section of screen using CaptureWizPro.

What's the advantage to using capturewiz vs using UR's native select / paste? or link?

Janrif

Maybe only familiarity. With CaptureWiz I have an easy way to capture just a section of the screen. I use UR's own capture facility if capturing the whole page.

Maybe I am missing something obvious and I can do both in UR.

Oh, I don't know that you're missing anything.

When you copy w your program, does it grab the page as is, i.e. image w text as in original? I don't think UR select copy / paste does that in one step.

That might be the difference.

I'm not sure it has anything to do with CaptureWiz. I am simply capturing a compressed PNG to the clipboard, and then pasting it into a text note in UR.

If I have already pasted into a text note (and UR has crashed and been reopened) then pasting a second time into the same note does not seem to cause the crash again.

Even when there is a crash, the paste is successful. (So it's just about liveable with...)

It's probably due to a defective version of riched20.dll (the MS rich edit control).
