Attribute Type - Lookup; Link to Item

This may have been touched on before, and after reading wordmuse's posting:

http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthre...&threadid=3390

it got me to thinking about this again.

There are times when it would be nice to have an Attribute Type of Lookup available, where the user could define a node (Indent Level) as the starting point of the Lookup, and have children Item Titles returned as a drop-down list for the Attribute. Selecting from the drop-down list would return an internal UR link as the value for the Attribute (the interanl link would be "active", not just a text string) - and/or "bring over" a linked instance of the record as child.

For example, suppose you were tracking software in one branch of the database and the software form had an Attribute called Vendor. Another branch of the database contained Contact records for Vendors. From the software form, for the Vendor field it would be nice to be able to do a lookup - if the record did not exist a way to create it would be nice.

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before, but further comments are welcome.
