JavaScript Debugger
Whenever a pdf file is shown in Item Detail pane, pressing Ctrl+J will be trigger the JavaScript Debugger? Is there any way to suppress it from showing again and again?
Thanks. Armstrong |

Confirmed with UR 3.2.6.3 when using Adobe Acrobat. I have not tried this with other pdf sofware.
Please note that this only occurs when the focus is on the item detail pane. When the focus is shifted to the data tree, CTRL-J works fine. Jon Last edited by Jon Polish; 01-08-2008 at 09:48 AM. |

When focus is in the details pane, and it is hosting another viewer (Acrobat, Word, etc.), keystrokes go to that viewer first, and any shortcuts that viewer handles will be processed by it and not passed on to UR.

I understand the ball is in Acrobat's court. But can a user still disable the annoying popup of the JavaScript Debugger dialog window?

Armstrong, no answer to your question here either but I thought I'd tell you that both cutepdf & pdf exchange viewers work within UR. HTH

I'm not sure -- I don't use Acrobat. Foxit Reader doesn't display a JavaScript Debugger when pressing Ctrl+J while it is focused.

Kinook & jannif,
Thanks for your tips. However, I'm afraid none would apply in my case because the pdfs involved are of digital editions (ie, ebooks) exclusively owned by Adobe. I just have to be careful with the pane being focused in UR so that I could jump (Ctrl+J) to the Acrobat. Armstrong |
