Execute Unix commands

Hi,

I am very new to using Visual Build. I want to know if Visual Build can be used (by setting up appropriate steps) to login to a remote Unix machine and run a sequence of Unix commands.

If this is possible, please point me to samples, script syntax, and any other information on how I can achieve the same. I have Visual Build Version 5.0.

Regards,
Nivi

But note that VBP v5 is no longer supported.

Hi,

The only three actions I see under the "Network" category are:
- FTP
- Send Mail
- Telnet

I don't see the PLink Tunnel Action.

Also, the Telnet Action screen I see is different from the screenshot in this link - http://www.visualbuild.com/Manual/in...lnetaction.htm

I verified that the version I have is 5.0. Please let me know if this is not possible with 5.0, so that we can request for the latest version of Visual Build.

Regards,
Nivi
