I think I forgot a setting

Working in child pane within a list of children
focus on child anywhere in the midst of list
<ALT>L to move item to specific explorer folder
item is moved
list automatically re-sets to top of child list

Question: how to avoid this last step

Running version 3.5.2.1

From the Child Pane select Item(s) and Move via Atl-L, focus "travels" with the Moved Item(s), i.e., focus in the Data Explorer is on the "moved" Item(s).

I thought maybe Tools | Options | Trees - Behavior, Select Parent Item after Delete might have some influence, but apparently not.

Seems that if you're using the Child Pane to move Item(s) this jumping around of the Data Explorer focus could be annoying. If you do the Move via Alt-L from the Data Explorer focus appears to stay within the originating location.

Not sure if this helps, but it's what I'm seeing.

Hi Ken.

How did you get version 3.5.2.1? I supposedly have the latest but it is 3.5b and the Install Info pane shows that the .exe is version 3.5.2.0.

I posted once before about this and someone said that I have to look at the release page. Well I did then, and I just did now: Still shows 3.5b released on 9/3/2008; doesn’t mention the specific build numbers at all.

Thanks!

Jim

The situation is that I have 'Imported' as a Favorite which opens in a new tab by default.

I use this to clear out my imported items so it seems necessary to work within the Imported child pane to move stuff.

OTOH, I could select the option which allows me to place stuff where I want right after I clip but Kinook never finished this process & the URp main window is called to the foreground to select the Explorer location in which to place the item & this is a huge PITA for me.

This is another one of those small things that would make URp the product it should have been but that's another story.

I did a DL on 10-31-2008 and that's what shows up after the install, and yes the DL page showed what you mentioned - must have seen a post about something being fixed that prompted me to do the DL.
