Is it possible to save preferences in UR?

I am wondering how to save my program preferences (the ones under "Tools - Options..." as well as the layout) for example if I want to install on a different computer due to moving to a new computer.

Thanks!

Thanks for you reply. I found layout files in that directory, corresponding to the different layout options available, as well as an empty "cutom.txt" file, but no content that seems to store my options.

So I can tranfer the layout, but still don't see how I can transfer my settings.

Somehow I thought all settings are stored in that folder, but I just found they are not, you are right.

From help:
---
Toolbar, menu, and keyboard customizations are stored in the user's application data folder (%APPDATA%\Kinook Software\Ultra Recall or C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Kinook Software\Ultra Recall).

Other settings are stored in the registry under the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kinook Software\Ultra Recall\.
---

So you would need to run regedit.exe and export the above registry key and import it on the second computer.

Plase consider adding following "user friendly" feature:

File-> Import-> UltraRecall Preferences
File-> Export-> UltraRecall Preferences

Users shouldn't be asked to do anything with registries.

Thanks

I strongly second this suggestion. I never realized just how great a feature that is until I got a few programs that have it. Very nice and helpful feature.

Thanks!

Jim
