URL field on a Form

When I added the URL attribute field onto a form and populated the field it was not a hyperlink, is this possible?

Not a clickable hyperlink, but you can focus the field and use Item | Open Shortcut (Ctrl+Q) to open the URL (add Shift to open in external browser).
