Data Explorer popping out

I have set the Data Explorer pane to Auto Hide. When I click on any tab it automatically un-hides the Data Explorer pane, anyway it can keep the Data Explorer pane hidden unless I actually move the mouse near it?

Uncheck Tools | Options | Trees (More) | Set focus to active selection pane when going to an item and Tools | Options | Trees (More) | Set focus to Item Details pane when going to an item.
