Error message

Hi.

I do not understand what this message means. I am searching for linked xls and xlsx files which are indexed and this comes up.

Thank you for your help.

Jon

I'm not getting that behavior. Is it specific to your .urd file(s)? Does it occur in a new database or one of the sample databases? If so, please send #1 and #2 from http://kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=3038. If not, please also send #5.

Tools | Compact & Repair fixed the sample you sent.

I tried that before reporting the error. It partially worked because up to then, I was not able to search for anything using any search criteria. I still get this message if the criteria is item text. Is this because all of the items I am searching are linked and indexed?

No, the error should not occur. So compact & repair of your database did not correct the error above? Does compact & repair of the sample you sent me correct the error for that database?

The compact and repair did not resolve the error. I had the following boxes checked:
  • Compact database
  • Repair database
  • Enable enhanced full-text search features
Under these conditions, the repair was partially successful as I previously stated. However, if I cleared the "Enable enhanced full-text search features" checkbox, then the operation was successful and the error message did not (so far) recur.

Try unchecking Limit search to selected item in Data Explorer pane. That should get around the problem for now, still investigating.
