View/edit Word & Excel files using Office 365

Dear kinook,

with using Office 365 (latest Word & Excel) I have problems to view Word and Excel files in internal browser view: After starting UR the internal browser view works. But after a few time of working with UR Word and Excel files are opened in a seperate Word or Excel window. After restarting UR it will work again a few time.
I' am working with the latest Version of Office 365, Win7 64bit, UR 5.2.0.5 and I applied the office.reg file.

I added the option registry entries as options.txt to this post.
Please tell me if you need more information.

How can I fix this?

Thanks.

It would probably require Microsoft to fix Office 365 to work like older versions.

That's bad, but I understand the dependencies between Office and UR.

But is it reasonable to wait for Microsoft to fix this?

Is there a way to use an other software to work with UR?

A workaround for me for word files is to save them in .rtf format. But there is a disadvantage: If the file have headers or footers they get lost by editing them in internal browser view.

Is it possible to prevent editing .rtf files (or other files) in internal browser view...so that they could only be edited external?

Or keep using an older version of Office until they do.

To edit Office documents internally? No.

Add .rtf or extensions of other document types to Tools | Options | Documents | File extensions to view/edit externally.

is this still an issue on the Office 365 side...

Just did a new install of UR Pro running on Win7, and stored Word files (very pre-current version) that are "forms" (tables) are not displaying as a "form", is this part of the same problem ?

Should I have NOT selected to install the rtf table option, doesn't matter ?

Thanks.

Word does not use the riched20.dll that can be installed with UR.

I installed the latest Office 365 on an updated Windows 10 system, configured internal editing of Word documents via http://kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=1042, imported a Word 2003 document with a table into UR (also tried the same with a Word 2016 document), and was able to edit the file internally in UR -> IE -> Word.
