Problem with Excel item type - can't save

hi,

I have an Excel template in UR, and I'm finding now I cannot save any items I create with it. When I do, I get the message: "Cannot access read-only document: myfile (UltraRecall copy).xls". Then eventually I get the "this action cannot be completed / Switch to / Retry" error message, and at this point I have to kill the UR process as there is no other action I can take.

I am using the latest 5.2 of UR, and Excel 2007 on Windows 7.

On a different machine, when I use Excel 2003, I don't get this problem.

I have applied the registry fix to make UR open the Excel file internally. So it displays OK, and I can work in it, but I can't save it.

Sorry, answering my own question here.

The solution was that I needed to added .zip to the file extensions in "File Extensions to Open Stored Documents Writeable". I already had it in the "Open in Browser" extensions, but not there.

I had no problem with opening/editing/saving .docx files, even without including .zip. I guess Word isn't so fussed about that aspect...
