How to delete embedded document but keep link

I have a large number of pdf files embedded in my infobase. How do I delete some of them while keeping the link to the external document?

If you want only link to these files in Ultra Recall (instead of storing them), you can simply un-depress (by clicking) the Store Contents Toolbar button (or by un-selecting the Item | Store Contents menu item).

Note: this must be done on individually selected Info Items...
