locking or making Item Titles read only?

Why?

For example, if, as I do, you use an Item Title or Parent title in a number of important frequently used saved searches - and its possible to change the item title, and you forget that one or more of your saved searches rely on item titles to produce correct results....

Then, is maybe locking, or making Item titles read only an appropriate optional way round this...?

I'll bet there's other cases like this where changing items, or attributes or whatever content can confuse the results of saved searches...

Are there any ways or plans to add rules or triggers, or whatever they may be formally called in the database world - to make it such that these anomalies are reduced to a minimum?
