export to web site
I'd like to post some of my notes from UR in a web site to share with colleagues. Is there a way to build a web site rooted at one of the branches on the data explorer? I was thinking about something similar to the rtf export, except in html format.

Currently Ultra Recall doesn't provide a way to directly publish Info Items with rtf content to Html website (as html).
There are several ways you can publish rich text Info Items with Ultra Recall, however: 1) Create a new Ultra Recall Info Database, copy the items you want to publish to it (using copy and paste or drag & drop), then publish this .urd file on the website (and a link to the Ultra Recall viewer download link [1]). The viewer version of Ultra Recall is free for anyone to use. 2) Export the files you want to publish as rtf files, then publish these directly on the website. Most browsers (such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla/Firefox) will show these documents (on Windows) with the viewer associated with rtf on the computer (such as Microsoft Word, Open Office Writer, Word Pad, etc). 3) Export the files you want to publish as rtf files, then open them in Microsoft Word, Open Office, or other application that can then save as Html, or convert them with a product such as [2]. Finally, publish the resulting html files on your website. Better export capabilitites are on our todo list for a future version of Ultra Recall. more than two years old request about publishing UR notes to web, obviously in html format, not attached rtf files ...
any news? From http://www.sautin.com/rtf-to-html/developers.htm I see that they offer rft-html convert dll or source code, maybe Kinook could buy it, so that UR could have html export ;-) Last edited by quant; 06-14-2007 at 01:44 PM. |
