Changing flag attribute needs test

Tools -> Attributes -> Flag -> Properties

Error: not unique name when all labels were unique

Thanks

If another flag name (other than the first) is 'pending', entering just 'pending' in List Values won't work because it's not unique for all values. Each of the 7 list values for Flag must be distinct.

Yes & no other flag was named 'pending'. That's why I brought it up on the forum.

Since I couldn't make the one change I wanted, it was & still is:

Hi Priority
Financial
Foloup
Maybe
Daydreaming
Waiting
Completed

I'm wondering if 'pending' is used in some other attribute not connected to the flag list & thats where the conflict is.

We have been unable to reproduce this behavior. Please ZIP and send or post:
1) The info from Help | About | Install Info
2) Run RegEdit and export the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kinook Software\Ultra Recall\Options"
3) A sample .urd file and detailed steps to demonstrate the problem

Thanks.

Kinook, I think I found the problem. I use GTD & in @category, I include 'pending' in my list.

We created multiple attributes (including one named @category) with List Values that included the value 'pending' and were still able to change one of the Flag list values to 'pending'.

Either start from a sample database w/out personal data or copy/save as your db, open the copy, delete all private data, empty recycle bin, and compact.

In the .urd file you sent, the Flag attribute's List Values does contain 'pending':

Hi Prioriity
Financial
Foloup
Maybe
Dreaming
Waiting
pending

Did you try to change this field value to something else that resulted in the error, and if so, what (copy/paste the entire field value that doesn't work)?
