Turn off autosort
I've skimmed the manual and the help file but can't figure out how to turn off the auto sort in the Data Explorer. Whenever I add a new note (for example) it alphabetizes it with its siblings. Sometimes I need to represent information in a hierarchy of tree items where the order I add them or the order I drag them to is something other than alphabetic (for example logical order like the table of contents in a book).
Is there a way to make the auto alphabetize feature optional (like in TreePad or most other two pane outliners) so it must be applied to a tree/branch explicitly? |

I think items will start out sorted, but you can also move items up and down (Ctrl-U and Ctrl-D) and the position of the items is remembered. In other words, you can manually "break" the sort and have the items in any order you desire.
You can also re-sort later by Tree -> Sort Siblings on the menu. |
