Time tracking / reporting

First of all, congratulations on an excellent piece of software that keeps getting better in leaps with every release. A special thanks for the export features.

As many of us seem to use UR in project management it would be useful to have some kind of time tracking feature; this would concequently provide a report of the time spent on various projects and tasks as represented by the tree items.

I have tried adding a Time Stamp at the start/end of each session, but it requires too much manual intervention in addition to the need for calculating total times.

Ideally, the time tracking facility would add a couple of extra attributes to each item, such as Time spent Today, Total Time spent on item since creation and Total Time Including Child Items, as well as the options to enable/disable/reset the counter.

An application I've seen providing at least part of this fuunctionality is Personal Brain.

Thanks for the positive feedback regarding Ultra Recall and that is useful for you. Compliments are always welcome :-)

A time tracking attribute (or attributes) would require some specialized processing specific to that attribute which potentially could add significant performance implications if implemented for child items in the way you mentioned.

We will add the request to our growing list of feature requests and evaluate it from the perspective of effort to implement vs. general level of usefulness to the typical user before any potential implementation.
