I 2nd this request.
And I'd say it is easy to accidentally change the attribute(s) of many selected infoitems in a swift uncontrolled move. IMO the attribute pane could be set to be read only (option enabled) unless one decides to make changes. In that case, an unlock box, similar to the one here suggested would be a must.
