Spreadsheet documents

It would be nice to have spreadsheets within Ultra Recall, even a spreadsheet with limited calculation capabilities. This could be a separate document type so that one could create lists and tables much more easily than embedding a table within a text document.

This is available in Memo Master where one decides on the type of document at the point of creation just as one does in Ultra Recall.

Please elaborate on how this might be achieved.

I have tried dragging an excel file into Ultra Recall. If I drag it into the data explorer it appears as a mess of text in an Ultra Recall item details pane, if I drag it into the the item details pane it just creates a link, when I click on the link it opens the spreadsheet in excel in a separate window.

How might I see the spreadsheet opened in the item details pane?

I have seen hints on this forum that Ultra Recall might function well as an OLE client but I see little evidence of this from my own experimentation.

Please enlighten me.

Thank you.

I now have Word and Excel documents displaying within Ultra Recall although Word displays its ribbon/toolbars whilst Excel does not. I do not know how to get Excel to display its ribbon/toolbars although the keyboard shortcuts appear to work as expected.

This is a significant step forwards.

Many thanks for your help.
