Notes
I attach notes only to some data items, so I'm reluctant to leave the notes panel open all the time. Is there a way to have the notes automatically open when I go to a data item with notes, and close if there are no notes?
Thanks, |

No, but you can create multiple layouts (one showing notes and one not) and switch between them via the keyboard, menu, or toolbar.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd still have to check every data item for notes. I probably attach a note to 1 in 10 data items, so most of the time there won't be any, and knowing me I'll be too lazy to check if nine times out of ten it will be wasted effort. I was hoping that UR had a way to notice that there are notes and automatically show them to me.

I'll put in a vote for this as well.
Funcationally can be summarised as such: Basically if the notes pane is empty, make it autohide. This could of course be an option. |

Could be interesting to have a look at the following post:

Or, make the notes tab a different color when a note is present.

I also want to express my support for some form of identifier when the item notes has text within it. This would be a valuable addition to UR.
