Virtual Attribute Tree Order - Related to Root
Ultra Recall Help:
Getting Started > Basic Concepts > Attribute > System Attributes > Virtual Attributes Tree Order: this number value is the order of the item in the Data Explorer/Search pane (NULL value if sorted alphabetically). It seems to me that the tree order number is related just to the parent of the actual item. So if the listed items in the search pane belong to different folders, this virtual attribute is of no help listing the result set items in the order the items show up in the tree. e.g. My Data Folder kk-44 Project C Folder ff-11 Project A Project B and a search "Template Item equals Project" sorted by tree order number results in Project A 0 Project C 0 Project B 1 where I would like to see sth like Project C 2 Project A 4 Project B 5 Is there a chance that a tree order number related to root of the tree will be introduced? The tree order is an item's ordering relative to siblings under its parent. There is no "tree order related to root of the tree."

Thanks, this clarifies my understanding of tree order attribute.
Unfortunately this limits usability in search nodes to a single folder. Is there a chance for an additional virtual attribute "tree order number related to root node" in a future version? (maybe this thread should moved to suggestions then) Thanks. |
