Why Can I Not Export Item Tree Into A Single Rtf File?

I've been trying to export a tree of items (4 levels totaling 50 items) into a single rtf file. All items and their text must be exported.

In the export wizard, I choose 'text items to a rich text (rtf) document'. I then provide a path to an rtf file. What I get is a single rtf file that is 1KB and has nothing in it except the item title of the root item.

All export options are selected including 'export child items (recursive)', but it is grayed out.

Also, the File / Send cmd generated a message with a 1kb attachment. Nothing in it.

Is me or the software that is acting up?

You need to select all of the items to be exported.

So an item tree that is 10 levels deep and nearly 1000 items long, how can I select all?

I noticed 'select all' does not work on the tree. what is the fastest way to do it?

Select the root item to export and expand all (Shift+Right Arrow). Scroll down to the last item to export, hold down the Shift key, and select.
