Double Click to Invoke the External Apps

Is it possible to double-click the items such as Maser.urd, Master.mmap, and Master.clf on the Data Explorerer to invoke their corresponding applications?
Currently it requires pressing Ctrl+Shift+j.

probably not, because it has different function assigned:

"Single-click to expand an item: If checked, Info Items will expand with a single click. Dbl-clicking Info Items will always expand/collapse or clicking on the +/- symbol, regardless of whether this box is checked."

When testing your theory, the double-clicking does not expand/collapse here. Referring to the attached screenshot, it would nice if double-clicking, say, "6 sigma overview.mmap", the mindmap could be instantly displayed.
Quant, thanks for your helpful post.

it's not my theory, it's from the help file ;-)
Seems that it is really not working as described, eg. when I double click on the item that has expanded children, it won't collapse them (in the case when "single click expand" option is selected)

But in your case, there is nothing to expand when you double-click on that item as it has no children. But I understand exactly what you mean ... it would need some distinction in the operation of double-click in the data explorer ...

In UR v4, double-clicking (pressing Enter) on a document item with no children will open the document (equivalent to Item | Open Document or Ctrl+J).
