Inserting RSS-Feeds

Hi,

it would be very useful if I could insert RSS-Feeds into Data Explorer pane. After select the feed icon I would see actual (!) contents of the feed...

Or is there already a possibility to do this and I don't know it?

Just import the URL of the RSS feed (linked rather than stored to always show latest changes). Also add .xml to 'Tools | Options | Browser | File extensions to show in internal browser view'.

Some feeds like http://feeds.feedburner.com/LessIsBetter reference a stylesheet and display nicely formatted, while others like http://feeds.feedburner.com/codinghorror don't and just display the raw XML (importing the blog's web page may be preferable in that case, unless you want to see the actual XML).

OK, got the RSS Feed as a Linked Item in UR, the Detail Pane shows "Click here to open linked document", click-it and IE opens externally and renders the page properly.

When I add .xml to Tools | Options | Browser the linked page is rendered as raw xml by the internal browser.

Also, tried changing the file association for xml under Win Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | File Types - from xml Editor to IE, but this had no impact.

What am I missing?

It sounds like the feed you're importing falls in the latter category.

Uhmmm, it's the feed of this forum (failed to mention originally).

If things are behaving as expected, I don't mind that IE has to open externally to render the page properly, just wanted to be sure that I didn't miss something in setting it up.
