Here here. I'm planning on taking a good look at Google Gears over xmas this year. Assuming it's as good as much of the other stuff Google support & develop, it'll be pretty good. As $bill alluded to Kinook, at least start thinking about the concept and perhaps in the next 6 to 12 months you might formally put it on the Roadmap.
