copy desktop shortcut info into clipboard instead of desktop?
I am trying to make Mindmanager interconnect with items stored in UR. To make MM hyperlink to UR items, I need to type into an "arguments" field the following sort of info:
h:\ultrarecall\commlaw.urd /item 1041 I can get the right info by creating a shortcut to the desktop, examining its properties, then cutting and pasting the text, etc. But that's clumsy. It would be great if I could just hit ctrl+shift+c and get the URL info in the above form into my clipboard, so I can paste it into MM. (I could also dream and think about a day where I could just drag and drop a UR item into Mindmanager and get the link created.) The general goal here is to allow outlining programs (in this case MM, which is very good at allow webs of knowledge to grow) work with efficient knowledge base programs (such as UR). Thanks for considering this. |

I totally agree with this:
"MM, which is very good at enabling WEBS of knowledge to grow, work with efficient knowledge base programs" - and in my case definitely UR... So wow! yes that would be fantastic if, optionally, Mindmanager could be used as a navigation front end to UR... I mentioned something this in a post a few weeks ago... Thus being able to easily capture links to UR items - which even if UR were not open, would open UR, and auto navigate to the specific UR item... that would be a kind of information management dream come true.. pls keep me posted "UR User" any possibility? |

We are investigating the requested functionality and have it our todo list (likely to be included in Ultra Recall version 1.5).
