Using Lineage in search

Does it have any effect? I was thinking it could be used to reduce the scope of a search but it would appear that it is ignored.

It seems to be working. See the image -- with Lineage matches wildcard *notes* in the search, it shows only the instance under Notes. If that is removed from the search, it shows both instances (under Notes and Tasks).

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Hmmm. I have run a search (same rules) from 2 different places. Using normal Search icon and implementing a Search item in the MyData tree (which is ideally where I would like it).

For proper precedence (treating the last two terms as being in parenthesis), you need to indent the 2nd and 3rd search terms (select the row and choose Tree | Move Right or Ctrl+Shift+Right arrow).
