Logging of Steps

I have some steps that I would like to add the loggin data that is printed out as I run. Both for logging and also to tell what actual file is being compile since some of these take quite a while.

The current line that is printed out to the log file is

10/19/2005 8:45:20 AM: Building subroutine step 'Compile n Build '...

I would like to also add the expaned out macro values as well.

Any ideas?

The simplest way would probably be to add some script to the vbld_StepStarted event of the subroutine, to output any additional info you want to display in the log. Here is a sample vbscript event method implementation (modify as necessary for your macro name(s) and formatting desired):

Builder.LogMessage " with %TESTMACRO%" + " = " + Application.ExpandMacrosAndScript("%TESTMACRO%")
End Function
