multiple contacts

How do you enter more than 1 contact name in the database. I am using the contact template, but I cannot figure out how to enter another contact. I am sure there must be a simple key-code to press, but it is not obvious. There is no point in having a contacts template with just 1 name in it.

Don't add your contact info to the Contact template, but rather add new Info Items based on the Contact template at any location in the Data Explorer pane (other then under the Templates system Info Item).

You can add a Contact Info Item at any location in the Data Explorer pane by right-clicking on the desired parent Info Item, then clicking on Insert Child, finally clicking Contact from the list of templates displayed. You can also access this functionality via Alt + Ins or Tree | Insert Child on the menu.

Finally, you can use the Insert key when the desired parent Info Item is selected if the parent Info Item has Contact specified as the Default Child Template Item Attribute value.
